William F. Simmons – President < back to list
Bill co-founded Group Benefit Services (GBS) in 1980, where he continues to serve as President. In this capacity he is responsible for developing the firm's corporate policy, directing all professional services, as well as maintaining relationships with insurance carriers, associations, and community organizations. A former regional Group Sales Manager with Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Maryland, Bill's career includes more than 35 years of experience in the benefits industry. He maintains professional memberships in the Maryland Health Underwriters Association, Baltimore Life Underwriters Association, Greater Washington Association of Health Underwriters, Society of Professional Benefit Administrators, Health Insurance of America, Baltimore Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the Association of Health Insurance Advisors, and is Past President of the Baltimore Health Underwriters Association. Bill has proudly watched GBS grow from 2 employees to almost 200 today. GBS' success is attributed to Bill and Kathy's strong commitment to providing excellent customer service utilizing efficient operational systems, offering state-of-the-art Internet technology to allow member access to important information as well as demonstrating cost effective care management solutions for their client's health care programs. |
