Compliance
Group Benefit Services, Inc. (GBS) has a
Contracts and Compliance Department that is specifically designed to
monitor regulatory and legislative developments at the federal and
state levels. The Contracts and Compliance Department develop and
send out monthly compliance newsletters to all of our clients to inform
them of any changes that may affect their benefit plans.
As such, GBS is staffed with three compliance professionals to
assist with carrier contracting,
seminars, education and communication pieces. As well as research
and resolution to issues for our
clients and brokers.
GBS and the compliance department staff are members of several
prominent trade associations such as SPBA and SIIA. GBS attends
numerous seminars to maintain an excellent understanding of all
legislative requirements.
GBS provides Summary Plan Documents (SPD) for all clients that are
administered by us. As the industry dictates summary plan document
changes, ERISA legal counsel and stop loss carriers are consulted to
review and approve change.
